Q: How Does Weight Based UPC work?

Their scale has to be able to print the UPCs for this. And that UPC will have a left set of numbers, that is the actual UPC to indicate which item is being scanned. and the last part of the UPC will be the price of the item that the scale calculates and we would enable weight based UPC and set the UPC for the item to that left part of it that indicates the item UPC so when they scan the item, it'll check for the item UPC first in the first part of the UPC and then it will read the second part as the price and add it to the cart with that price

Q: Socket Scanner Set Up/ troubleshooting / Not Working (Clear Bluetooth Cache)

Step 1 - If you have connected the scanner via bluetooth to the IOS device before, go to settings → bluetooth and then select the blue “i” and forget the device completely. Step 2 - Turn bluetooth on the IOS device completely off Step 3 - Take the socket scanner and power it off and then back on 1 time. Step 4 - Take the socket scanner and scan the “factory reset” barcode. This will also power the device off. Step 5 - Turn the socket scanner device back on, once powered on scan the “IOS application mode” barcode, the device should beep twice. Step 6 - Now we can re-enable the bluetooth on our IOS device again. After doing so you should see “Socket S740 [ S/n ]” as a device. Connect to the device , wait for the device to be fully connected - the bluetooth icon will stop blinking and be a solid blue light. Step 7 - Make sure that the setting “enable socket scanner” is enabled inside the POS. Step 8 - Lastly just start a cart on the POS and attempt to scan a barcode. Step 9 - If this does not work, repeat from step 1. NOTE If the usual troubleshooting does not work have them remove all bluetooth devices connected and turn off the iPad. Wait for a few seconds and turn the iPad back on and go back to step 1. That should clear out the bluetooth cache and the device should be able to reconnect.

Q: How can we flip the tip prompt to show on the reader, instead of the pos screen?

Make sure they are paired with Apio. Ensure that the gateway is only set to 'Tip Prompt' and not 'Enable Tip Adjust' Enable the gateway setting 'Enable External Tip Display' Refresh the station and test a CC payment

Q: Is there a way to turn off tax for orders paid with EBT?

They will need to manually remove the tax from the order.

Q: Why would a honeywell scanner (ms3780) not be working?

There is a setting that needs to be enabled 'Enable Honeywell Scanner'. The scanner's name in the printer's webconfig also needs to be local_scanner. If it is anything else it will not work.

Q: How to fix the Auto Detecting mode on PAX readers

The var sheet needs to be repushed and making sure to make the following change: To disable the auto detecting message please try this> MICS tab > Peripherals Features > Disable.

Turn off auto batching in the tsys file. Set up the auto batching in the account settings tab in partner portal Confirm that the settings are reflected in the payment gateway(s) Enable batch close terminal in the portal Enable batch close terminal in portal Confirm that the auto batch time is the same in the apio app(s) All set

To enabled quick charge on Qlite please follow the steps below. Go to the account settings and enable "Enable Quick Order on Lite" Then create an item with both "enable quick item" and "enable open item" enabled. After these have both been completed you will see the "quick charge" option under the service area's on Qlite.
