Paying via EBT Cards

Guests with EBT cards can redeem their cards to pay for the order on the Quantic POS. Merchants can also swipe the card on the connected PAX device to settle any order. A few basic steps are needed to perform at the backend to make EBT payment work on the POS.

Hardware needed to accept EBT cards:

  1. iOS or Android POS, to take orders.
  2. PAX/APIO/AMP device, to accept EBT cards

Enable EBT Payment

Please make sure you have enabled the EBT payment by following the below steps.

  1. Go to the Settings on the backend portal.
  1. Search the configuration “Enable EBT Payment” and turn it on.
  2. Now scroll down and look for the configuration “Position of EBT on Pay”. Make sure to assign a number in the field to display the EBT button on the Pay.

Take Order and accept payment via EBT

  1. Add items to the cart.
  2. Tap the Pay button at the bottom.
  3. Select EBT as a payment method. 
  4. A payment request will be sent to the connected PAX device.
  5. After reviewing the order total, swipe or manually enter the EBT card on the PAX.
  6. Enter the pin if needed and the payment will be charged.
  7. The customer or merchant copy will be generated on a successful payment.
